In communication, very little of the message is conveyed through vocabulary and grammar. Most of the message is conveyed through the ways people say what they do. How you say it is deeply tied to cultural identity.
To successfully work with different cultures, you should know:
1) What is the most effective communication style for interacting in this culture? What is the best way to get my message across? What interactional skills do I need to apply?
2) What are best practices for business communications within the culture? How do I use language most effectively in business writing, customer service, phone conversations, teamwork, presentations, meetings and other professional settings?
3) What are the cultural roots that created this communication style? Why do they communicate like they do?
